Why not visit the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center for the Sugarloaf Craft Festival?

 

More than 250 of the nation’s most accomplished craftspeople will personally show and sell their handmade works at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival, Friday, November 4 through Sunday, November 6, 2011. The jury-selected artists will offer thousands of one-of-a-kind crafts, including functional and decorative pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography, and fine art.

The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Oaks will feature:

- The special show theme, “New This Season,” showcasing the latest styles and techniques in American craft.

- Gourmet foods and seasonal favorites—including candies and chocolates, hearty soups, artisan breads, jams and dips, syrups, and olive oils—will be available to sample and purchase from dozens of specialty food purveyors.

- Master craftspeople providing continuous live demonstrations of iron forging, papermaking, copper spinning, stone sculpture, and other media.

- Family entertainment including interactive dress-up theater and live music by contemporary performers.

Show Hours:
- Friday, November 4: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, November 5: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sunday, November 6: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission (valid all three days):
- Adults: $7 online; $9 at the door
- Children under 12: free
- Parking: free

Faith - I love the local craft festivals.  Being in the Appalachian Mountains we have lots of them here with really great stuff.  Pottery, hand-made jewelry, artwork.  Not the doilies and crocheted poodles I remember from the craft shows I went to as a kid!!!
