Living in the RAIN - Finding Inspiration and the Joys of Commenting!

Hello Kathy, I am glad that I am not the only one having these troubles. It appears that we are all in agreement here. I do the same thing during commercials....with looking for something to read and then commenting. We have a DVR and David likes to skip the commercials....but I like the break.....the photo is David's and I took it into Picnik and added the quote. I love that photos of his....so warm. Tom, I think to think so. It seems like time has sped up though and there is never enough time to do the things that need doing besides the business. Real estate can be consuming and it is important to find time to plan and balance. What happens to us if we don't do that....is we just work all the time. We do have to try to balance it all and find that place where life is enjoyable. You make a good point. Have a beautiful day!

Rosalie, I like your comment here. Yes, it is more of a treat for me, as well. I enjoy it and I enjoy my friends and the members. I do learn so much....it use to be about learning in relationship to real estate....but I have felt that shift to being more about life. I like that. Have a beautiful day!

Janet, at times there is no other choice....but I enjoy it so much that I have begun to wonder....as Bryant said....it is time to "just be" or as Lynda said...."Someday" is here now. I've been here in the RAIN since September, 2007 which does not make me the oldest member by any means. Lots of learning came and went long before I became a member. The thing that astonishes me completely is how I continue to grow in my profession and as a person. At first, I was just trying to figure the whole thing out and then I was blogging for business and now I write about my profession and who I am. I find great joy in the people that I subscribe to and the good writing that they do. Setting a time limit would have worked before but is hard for me now. I think Bryant gives me good advice and that is to just love what you do and the rest takes care of itself. That is happening for me and I love it! Have a beautiful day!

Nancy, I would guess that we hit a universal issue with this post....for us all to be acknowledging how hard it is to balance and try to get it all done. I want to keep a clean house, do art work and entertain. It is hard to do all that and manage the "roller coaster" aspect of real estate. You have so much business you are frantic or you are looking for work. As we go round and round with this....I keep coming back to what Bryant said and that we just need to be enjoying the moment we are in and have that confidence that it is all on track. Debbie, thanks for stopping by and the read. We are all describing the same element of being here in the RAIN. We do have to go to work now and again. That was my situation yesterday and today also. I try to work from home so that my schedule is my own. There are days, however when I must be at the office. I have an assistant whom I need to meet with and I have a Team that I am working with. My Broker is also my coach and we have our Tuesday meetings that are so beneficial to me. I always feel resistant to go to work....I am not as comfy there....in my big warm muckluks and my little heater going beside me at the computer.....but I find I totally enjoy it when I get to the office. I have such a great group of people to work with and my Broker is doing some really cool stuff for the future and I love being part of that......so what is the conclusion....it's all good....that's what. Time is so short and it is so important to be doing what you love. The term "Just Be" is somewhat over used and misunderstood. It truly is a term that says it all. Total awareness all the time. It is such a good thing. Hope you both are well and that life is good, my friend.

Hello Barbara, I so agree and when times require my attention elsewhere....I am always longing to come back. The RAIN has offered me so much inspiration and growth that it is like my best friend and my fav thing to do. Connection on so many levels of friendship and evolved members to learn from. I write about it often and I find myself in a state of "gratitude" on an on-going basis. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hello Gary, it is so amazing to me that I continue to find new ways of learning here in the RAIN. I was pretty sick in 2010. I left the RAIN for about 9 months. When I came back about six months ago.....I don't know why but I began to see the RAIN differently. I was bored with just "real estate" stuff...although of course we still focus on our profession....but I needed a different perspective this time around. I wasn't writing so much but reading more and finding a new way to be in the RAIN.

I love writing and I have a new love which is photography. Combining the two has given me a more creative and enjoyable experience. I am learning tons from other members and shaping something new for myself. Changing, growing and finding inspiration on every level....well I am so happy to be back. Thanks for the visit.
