The Lighting of Wake Forest
December 2, 1011

Come to historic, downtown Wake Forest NC for a magical
evening on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 6pm for the
Lighting of Wake Forest.

Hosted by the DRC (Wake Forest Downtown Revilalization Committee) this
beautiful evening will have our very own Mayor Vivian Jones lighting
our 30 ft Christmas tree. You can also delight in the seasonal entertainment
by local choirs as well as horse drawn carriage rides. (weather permitting, of course)

Be sure to visit some of the local downtown merchants who will
be decorated in all of their holiday glory and offer some amazing treats
and Holiday surprises of their own!

See you in historic downtown Wake Forest on December 2
for this much anticipated Holiday kick-off!

Lisa, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. We were going to put up the big tree this year but David has a cold and so I think we will bring out the small tree that we just plug in for yet another year. Each year I plan to put up the big tree but opt for the easy way. We don't have a big tree that the City puts up here in Redding. I wish we did. Your photo is beautiful. It's official the Christmas Holiday countdown has begun. We are doing a HUD inspection today and coming home to get warm and get David well. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.

Oh my, Kathy - the downtown merchants ALWAYS go crazy but the Holiday time? Simply magical downtown and the stores are over the top! In a good way, of course.

Oh, no, Jeanean! I hope David is feeling better soon! You are right, the Holiday season didn't creep up on us - BAM it was here! Like you I have been taking the easy way the last few years but I swear this year I am going all out for decorating - starting tomorrow! (I hope!)
