There are more things going on than Black Friday, here in Knoxville TN. Here's some Thanksgiving weekend fun, Knoxville Style! to start the Holiday Season for you.
Christmas in the City kicks off on Friday night at Market Square in downtown Knoxville. There will be events for three consecutive weekends.
The 27th Annual Fantasy of Trees has just opened up. This event benefits the East Tennessee Children's Hospital, and is held at the Knoxville Convention Center on the corner of Clinch and Henley Aves. This year's theme is "Rocking Round the Christmas Tree."
Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland held at the Tennessee Smokies baseball stadium. Featuring Santa's Village with petting zoo and pictures with Santa, as well as a Christmas tree lot, it's a lot of fun for the family. Check here for times and cost.
If you are looking for light shows that you don't have to pay admission to see, a good friend puts one on every year in the View Harbour neighborhood. The light show is always set to music, and opens up Thanksgiving night and will be available for (FREE) viewing every evening. Swing by Harbour Shore Drive (follow the traffic) for an eventful show.
That should get you started for a non-Black Friday, Thanksgiving weekend fun, Knoxville Style!
