The Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County presents the 17th Annual Palm Beach County Holiday Boat Parade to kick off the holiday season on December 3, 2011 along with the US Marines 12th annual Toys for Tots Drive. This is a great time for family and friends to get together and enjoy an exciting evening cheering on the decorated and lighted vessels.
Beginning at 6:00pm, the boat parade will navigate 15 miles up the Intracoastal Waterway, making it's way through 7 municipalities, beginning at Peanut Island and moving along to the Jupiter Lighthouse. The parade will be led by a traveling fireworks display.
The Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC) will be collecting toys for Toys for Tots. Last year they surpassed their goal of over 15,000 new, unwrapped toys for the needy children in Palm Beach County.
All boat entries will be judged at the North Palm Beach Marina on lights and decorations, enthusiasm and overall effort. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 in each category. The top prize for, Best in Parade is $500 Cash!
If you will be traveling around the area of the parade routes, please take note the scheduled times of the bridge openings. These time are not exact and may vary according to weather, winds, tides and currents.
