National Cowgirl Museum In Fort Worth Texas

I had the pleasure of visiting the National Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth a few days ago and was blown away!  The museum is located close to The Will Rogers complex and the Museum of Natural Science and History.

This is the only museum in the World dedicated to honoring women of the American West who have displayed extraordinary courage and pioneering fortitude.  Since is was established in 1975, the museum has become an invaluable educational resource nationally known for it's exhibits research library, rare photography collection, and the Honorees in it's Hall of Fame.

Membership begins at $40 but for a $60 membership includes unlimited visits for you and a guest to the Cowgirl Museum and the Museum of Natural Science and History and the Fort Worth Stockshow.

That's an awesome deal!

My favorite exhibit currently on display is in the Spirit of the Cowgirl Theater where it is featuring former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Conner.  I bought cattle off of her family ranch in Arizona from her brother Alan.  He was one of the very first ranchers in the U.S. to incoroperate "The Savory Grazing System" into the ranch.  This a rotational grazing system.  Plus he was instumental in develping a new cattle breed designed for the deserts of Arizona called Barzona.

They are wonderful people.

So when you are in Fort Worth make The Cowgirl Museum a must see destination.

Happy Trails,

Donnie
