A few tips while moving older adults.

Home Stager with Interiors for Seniors

I am a "Senior Move Manager" it the Orlando area.  I help older adults move from there homes where they may have lived their entire adult life, where they raised their children and had a lifetime of memories.

Here are a couple of tips to help your Senior Clients

Plan the move. Allow enough time that your Clients don't feel rushed. Sorting through years of stuff is difficult and sometimes emotionally painful. Give them time to absorb the change.

Hire outside help. Sometimes it's easier for your Clients to work with an outside party than with their children. We are a company who specializes in moving seniors, offering comfort both to your clients and the rest of the family.

Be patient. If they take longer to clean out the desk drawer because of a stack of pictures they found, let them take the time to remember. This is a very important part of the process. Be patient. Listen to their stories.

Missy and her amazing crew helped my 92 year old parents move into an apartment this past weekend. They were kind, patient, professional and so very efficient. It was a smooth move during a stressful time. They helped my parents adjust to their new place by hanging pictures and placing familiar items where they belonged. It was such a pleasure to work with all of her staff (especially Eve, who came and pre packed and never seemed overwhelmed by the large accumulation of STUFF).Thank you for treating my parents with such kindness and dignity. I would highly recommend Interiors for Seniors.
