Have you ever felt “inquietude” about a contract?

Man you talk about been there done that it fits me to a “T”.  This word has two meanings and to be fair I’ll use both.  Pick anyone you want to they are both fitting and may apply to your situation.  The only question I have is how many times this has occurred to you.  Now for the meaning of (in kwi’ e tood’) is restlessness; uneasiness so tell me how many times have you been uneasy or restless about it?  Too many to count I’m there with you.  Now what say you?

I suffer from inquietude when all tasks are complete and I have failed to have future tasks lined up. So, anytime I fail to plan, inquietude follows. Enjoy your day!

Good morning, James. I get that feeling of inquietude when I am working with clients that raise red flags. Talk about putting everything in the report...

It seems to me that we would want to feel comfortable about a contract, or we shouldn't sign it!  But that is just me!

I may have a case of this right now as I am not finished with my Christmas shopping.  Not feeling to warm and fuzzy about getting out there into the madness.

One of the very few words I recognized from your title. .perhaps is because the Spanish version is so close and I use it often when speaking it. . "inquietud"

Hi James,

In the beginning of my career, I occasionally got that feeling of inquietude when I was working for a long period of time with clients that couldn't make up their mind. Then, after days, weeks, months of nadda... out of the clear blue, they ask me, "Do you want to stop for a bite to eat - I'll pay!"

The scene was always the same. We'd go to a cheap, fast food restaurant. The restaurant was always their choice. Then they'd tell me to order first. I'd order something small; yet they always ordered just a diet coke, so I'd cancel my order and ask for a glass of water. That feeling of inquietude got more intense and they'd apologize because they couldn't make up their mind and say something stupid, like, this process is going to take us a lot longer time than we thought, but thank you for all that you have done.

By this time, in my mind, I'm thinking, "This is the Last Supper." I say understand and choose not to work with them again. I'd politely say, "thanks for being honest with me, my time is valuable, so please call me when you're ready."

They'd never call again and I'd never follow up. I never had any regrets and simply moved on...

Patricia
