365 Things To Do In The Salt Lake Area: The Hogle Zoo.
Yes I am a fan of going to the zoo in the winter.
Its time to bundle up, the majority of visitors go when the weather is nice or during the Hogle Zoo's annual zoo lights. I'm a fan of sneaking in during the off seasons.
During the off season the animals are out more, its cooler and this year its not even that cold out. We've had a really warm winter and no snow. So take an afternoon and go visit the Hogle Zoo.
You'll be glad you did.
Kim- I have never thought about going in the winter with them being more active. They do seem quite sluggish in the summer when it is so hot!

I love zoos anytime. The Phoenix zoo used to let us feed the critters, (most all of them can have cheerios) and Wildlife World Zoo allows feeding of some of the critters. Our of Africa allows some animal feeding as well. Great Photo!
