Under the "university" tab, there is an excellent webinar recording by Katerina Gasset. Her specialty is getting listings from her blog. Here are three things that I hadn't considered until I listened to this webinar:
To get listings from your blog:
1.) Post Listings. This activity doesn't generate a lot of comments, but sellers check out prospective listing agents by looking at the marketing they are doing with their current listings. Be careful to do your best marketing with these posts - Think of them as an audition for future business.
2.) Use Geo-specific terms in your postings. Sellers use location-specific search terms, and are looking for listing agents who know the local market. Make it easy for them to find you.
3.) Don't forget "Me". Listings go to someone the sellers know and trust. Include links to your Google profile, Facebook pages and LinkedIn. Make sure all the information is current and fresh.
Katerina also left a "lead" for us near the end of the session about a supplier she uses called RealBird. They have smartphone applications, QR code services, single property websites, and more, in either a paid or free version. I intend to check them out.
