I recently wrote about a book I have added to my listing presentations. Idiots Guide Staging Your Home To Sell, for clients who could not really afford to hire a professional Stager. Anyway, my first client to receive the book her home was not in the best area, there are mobile homes all around. Also her home was a little cluttered and I was concerned how well this home would show. Anyway, to make a long story short my client really was serious about wanting her home sold quickly for top dollar. We listed it on the high end (I was concerned about the price). She took the book and followed it to the TEE. I almost fell over when I went by her home to see all that she had done. Wow, it looked great.

Two and a half weeks on the market now we received a close to full price offer from a strong buyer. We went under contract Wens. I hope all clients will follow her lead, it sure makes our job easier.

I also provide my listing clients with a book that educates on preparing their home to go on the market and provides checklists (both blank, for them to fill in as they look at their home, and lists of things that so often go unnoticed because you've lived with them for so long). It's one of the more useful tools I have, for both them and me.

Based on this story Ginger I need to check that book out. What a great gift idea for a home seller as long as they don't take the Idiots part of the title wrong. I know most people know about the Dummies and Idiots books. I must qualify as I have many of them. Staging can so much help a house sell.

You can probably get the book at your local B&N or I found several at Half Price Books.

Not all clients will actually read the book but those who do will be worth their weight in Gold.
