So you asked how I did it? Here are two great software downloads for FREE! ANVSOFT Flash Slide Show Maker is an easy to use flash album creator. It makes animated photo slide shows with SWF file as the output format. It transforms your digital photo collection to Macromedia Flash file format (SWF) which you can create great slideshows on your blogs or website. ANVSOFT Flash Slide Show Maker is extremely user-friendly. Its friendly user interface enables you to create amazing slide shows out of your digital photos with quick and simple steps. No Flash technologies or programming skills are required. Key Features:
Click here to download Flash Slideshow Maker Now! This is an easy and quick download at no cost. I can't tell you how awesome this software is and the potential to add simple, quick and user-friendly slide shows to your posts.
Another software that works in sync with the Flash Slideshow Maker is SkyAlbum found at www.skyalbum.com . Download Sky Album after you download the Free Flash Slide Show Maker and this will easily help you to generate the HTML code for your blog. Much like Youtube videos.
Instructions on creating your very own slide show (after downloading):
Complete downloading both softwares. Open Flash Slideshow Maker software and select your folder where your photos are and Drag & Drop the photos in lower window.
Toggle over to the Theme selection tab:
Choose between Basic or Advance templates for your slide show. Set all your Flash Options, Title, Width & Height and background color. Be sure to uncheck Auto Play and be sure to select Show Control Button if you choose to add music. Now move to the bottom and add your music. Very simple, use one from a CD or a MP3 that you have on your harddrive.
Check for the LIME GREEN square for indicators and options in graphics!
Click onto the 'Publish' tab:
Choose your output Options, I typically use Create Flash Files and Upload to SkyAlbum.com. Set your output settings and then click the 'Publish Now' button. Be patient it will take about 30 seconds.
Almost Done! | |||
Have another window open with your SkyAlbum.com account. It will automatically upload to that site for you. It's that simple and now you just copy and paste your slide show onto your Active Rain editor in the HTML mode, not WYSIWYG mode.
Tips:
MORE TEMPLATES THAT ARE WORTH CHECKING OUT! Note: Be sure to allow these slide shows to load, being there are three on this page it might take just an extra second or two.

Shannon - I'm not real sure of that tid bit of information about search engines not liking it, but if it gives your site appeal, which in my opinion counts too, I can't see it a problem. I have not put any flash on my site other than what comes with the template I currently use with P2NLS.
Bridget - There is a button for both, the SkyAlbum button is a graphic. However, going to their site works as well. I hope to see some awesome slide shows. Have fun. Shoot me an email or a link back here so I don't miss your work. Have a great week.
OK, I have bookmarked and will work on it later when I have more time. I am trusting you that this is user friendly. :0)
Candy,
Thanks for the Christmas present. I needed this software. I'm off to play with my new toy!
Mike in Tucson
p.s. Do you prefer Candace, Candy or Candi? I'd like to get it right! LOL
Cynthia - I assure you it's pretty user friendly. I hope you try it and come back and share your creations!
Mike - That is awesome, I hope to see you really using it and find it to come in handy! Have fun for sure. Candace or Candi is fine. I answer to both.
Tracy- You are funny. I don't know if it's all that, but I can answer to that too!! LOL
Candace, I am so clueless when it comes to this stuff. When I buy my tablet PC, can I look you up for lessons?
Downloading this now and will play with this. I think this will give me a great reason to call my REALTORS!
Thanks!
Doreen- I am a Sony girl, but if I would buy again I would stay away from Sony because I didn't get the battery life that I had hoped for. Have you looked at Dell? I know I love Fry's Electronics in Tempe. I buy most my electronics there or at Best Buy!! Hmm... They sell a magazine Computing PC that does a consumer report each year, you might look into that also. Good luck.
Ed- Awesome idea. Let me know how it works out and if you found it user friendly!!
Ok, Candace - I dug you out of the archives. I love this tool - it looks like it will be phenomenal! However, I am realizing that you are probably using something else by now. If so, would you just shoot me an email at "dagnyeason@gmail.com" to let me know the new site? Please? I am going to try this now.....
Thank you for this post. I have also used the picasa and piknic software tools, I find they work really well
and you can resize pictures for postlets. You have made it much easier by putting the pictures on your
post to understand each step.
