So you asked how I did it? Here are two great software downloads for FREE!

ANVSOFT Flash Slide Show Maker is an easy to use flash album creator. It makes animated photo slide shows with SWF file as the output format. It transforms your digital photo collection to Macromedia Flash file format (SWF) which you can create great slideshows on your blogs or website.

logoWith this Slide Show Maker, you can easily turn a folder full of still images into a stunning Flash slide show with background music and special transition effects. This Flash slide show software allows you to add nice looking animated slide shows to your website in no time! The best part is it is FREE (upgraded version available for $49.95 USD) and I have made all my slideshows on the FREE version!

ANVSOFT Flash Slide Show Maker is extremely user-friendly. Its friendly user interface enables you to create amazing slide shows out of your digital photos with quick and simple steps. No Flash technologies or programming skills are required.

Key Features:

  • No Flash skills required, everyone can make a stunning photo flash in minutes.
  • Lots of transition effect, brings lives to still images
  • Many built-in theme to choose from
  • Decorate your flash with built-in effects
  • It's FREE!
  • And more...

Click here to download Flash Slideshow Maker Now!

This is an easy and quick download at no cost. I can't tell you how awesome this software is and the potential to add simple, quick and user-friendly slide shows to your posts.

sign upAnother software that works in sync with the Flash Slideshow Maker is SkyAlbum found at www.skyalbum.com . Download Sky Album after you download the Free Flash Slide Show Maker and this will easily help you to generate the HTML code for your blog. Much like Youtube videos.
Instructions on creating your very own slide show (after downloading):
Complete downloading both softwares. Open Flash Slideshow Maker software and select your folder where your photos are and Drag & Drop the photos in lower window.screen shot
Toggle over to the Theme selection tab:
Choose between Basic or Advance templates for your slide show. Set all your Flash Options, Title, Width & Height and background color. Be sure to uncheck Auto Play and be sure to select Show Control Button if you choose to add music. Now move to the bottom and add your music. Very simple, use one from a CD or a MP3 that you have on your harddrive.

Check for the LIME GREEN square for indicators and options in graphics!

Click onto the 'Publish' tab:
Choose your output Options, I typically use Create Flash Files and Upload to SkyAlbum.com.

Set your output settings and then click the 'Publish Now' button. Be patient it will take about 30 seconds.

Almost Done!
Have another window open with your SkyAlbum.com account. It will automatically upload to that site for you. It's that simple and now you just copy and paste your slide show onto your Active Rain editor in the HTML mode, not WYSIWYG mode.
Tips:
  • You can adjust the width and height on your options, not all templates are adjustable. Be sure to check your selection if you would like a smaller version.

  • Be sure to have two browser windows open and working in both programs and you can make it much easier for you to toggle back and forth.

  • BE SURE TO DISABLE THE AUDIO FILE, THIS DOES CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH ACTIVE RAIN, BE SURE TO UNCHECK THIS BOX AND ADD THE CONTROLS FOR THE CONSUMER TO CLICK ON THE BUTTON.

  • Have fun and be creative. There are lots of other softwares available through ANVSOFT such as Flash Banner Maker and DVD makers at a small fee. I for one am happy with this slideshow and the possibilities are endless. The fact that it is so user friendly will impress you. If you have any questions or need help, don't hesitate to contact me direct. HAVE FUN!

SEE SAMPLES BELOW, HOWEVER THERE ARE SO MANY
MORE TEMPLATES THAT ARE WORTH CHECKING OUT!

Note: Be sure to allow these slide shows to load, being there are three on this page it might take just an extra second or two.

Candace-You my friend are brilliant.  You know that feeling when somebody hands over a beautifully wrapped present and you look at and say, "geez, the outside is so beautiful, so I just can't wait to see what is inside, it's got to be good" and you open the gift and inside is the most amazing thing ever?  Well that is how I feel when I open your blogs.  How exciting it is and you never go half way, you go way out there!  Thank you Candi full of sweetness!

Neal - There are a lot out there, but this one is one of the cleaner, easier one that I have found. The options are amazing for a freebie.

Don- I hope you enjoy it. Please come back and let me know if you put together a slide show!

Lisa & Bob - I know you work with the other slide show and those are beautiful. I am not familiar enough with it to know if it offers the variety of skins/templates that this one does! I hope you can find something to use here! Thomas - Glad you find it worthy of a feature. I don't know that tutorials ever make features, but I'm game!

Thomas - So glad you find this post feature worthy. I'm not sure that tutorials rarely if ever make feature status, but I'm game! Thanks for stopping by!

Julie - I know when I get a pretty wrapped gift, I hate to open it! Get this, I am one of those fanatics that wraps her gifts under the tree to match and the bows are as big as life. I'm am just weird that way. I love presentation, color and over the top. Just imagine how I like my food. Hehehee!! Thank you for your continued support and kind words as always. I so appreciate your comments and time. Hope you can find some use out of this tutorial.  Have a great day.

Candace, I have so many of your how-to-do-that posts bookmarked -- I'd better get busy!  You are a great teacher.  Adam is right -- you do "pretty up the place" by teaching us to be prettier.  Techies charge big bucks for these lessons.  Thanks for the gifts.

Elaine - I am glad you are collecting them. I hope perhaps you find them useful one day. Thank you for your nice words and support. I hear the big guys charge big bucks, but for me it's fun. Perhaps one day when I really feel confident enough to do it like the big guys!! Thanks for stopping by. By the way, this slide show is super easy. I think you might really like the user friendly software.

Candace,  That is so very cool!  I have to get on the ball and get it together.  Have you imbedded any of these in your website?  I've been told search engines don't like flash and I'm scared to try it...your thoughts?

Candace, thank you for more wonderful information and tutorials. I downloaded fssm and signed up for SkyAlbum (I didn't see anything to download on SkyAlbum so I just signed up, I hope I did it right). I look forward to playing around with it and creating some mind blowing stuff. Thank you!

Shannon - I'm not real sure of that tid bit of information about search engines not liking it, but if it gives your site appeal, which in my opinion counts too, I can't see it a problem. I have not put any flash on my site other than what comes with the template I currently use with P2NLS.

Bridget - There is a button for both, the SkyAlbum button is a graphic. However, going to their site works as well. I hope to see some awesome slide shows. Have fun. Shoot me an email or a link back here so I don't miss your work. Have a great week.

Doreen- I am a Sony girl, but if I would buy again I would stay away from Sony because I didn't get the battery life that I had hoped for. Have you looked at Dell?  I know I love Fry's Electronics in Tempe. I buy most my electronics there or at Best Buy!! Hmm... They sell a magazine Computing PC that does a consumer report each year, you might look into that also. Good luck.

Ed- Awesome idea. Let me know how it works out and if you found it user friendly!!
