Each week I will submit a post highlighting someone within our community that does an outstanding job and deserves a pat on the back. I believe when people go beyond the norm, they should be recognized. Here's my feeble attempt to do so.

Today, I want to take a moment to express my thanks and appreciation to one of my favorite Charlotte, NC Real Estate Professionals:

I have been working with Peter for several years now and will tell you that he is one of my most trusted sources for appraisals in the Charlotte area. Peter knows Charlotte real estate and does an outstanding job every time. Peter is consistently quick in his turn times, much faster than most appraisers in the area. And to this day, I have never had one appraisal come back from underwriting cut in value or dismissed as inaccurate. I always know that when Peter goes to appraise a home, I am in good hands.

Does that mean that my values are always there? Well, in most cases, yes... but not always. While Peter will do as much research as he can to justify a value, he will not illegally "push" or "create" values that are not supported. So with regards to purchases, those values are normally there. Even on refi's, Peter searches for the best comps that fit the appraisal. There have been times where the value just wasn't there, even after researching a couple of times. And with Peter's professionalism and attention to detail, I know he's on the money.
