Real Estate Technology with ActiveRain

Tonight at 10pm Pacific Time, Ben and James will be doing some database updates.  For those of you who like to be on line late the system will be down for about an hour.  From 10pm PT to 11 will not be a good time to put up posts. :)

Thank you,

-Caleb

so....I am still up, as an idiot... lol  3 am EST...  I was about to write my post on here... noticed I ran out of time...  loved my topic of discussion so much.... and after doing research, I decided to hang around and wait to post it... well, that was at 1:30 am...  I guess it took me longer than expected.

So...I noticed that the numbers at the bottom of the post are gone...telling us how many people read the post and visited... why?

2nd.... I know see an envelope instead.... you put your cursor above this, it says e-mail post.  What is this for?

thanks

Leigh.... I just read your comment.... LOL  damn, you know me better than I do. I was in all honesty, going to bed at 12:30 am, when the system went down..... actually, midnight EST. I saved some of my research. I was about to pack it up.... I decided to try AR right before I went to bed... 12:20 am, thinking that it would take longer. POOF....  AR was back up and running.....  aaaarrrrgggghhhh   I tell myself, I must finish my masterpiece and then post. Well, it tool me a little longer than expected.... about an hour longer. Hence the reason my eyelids are trying to fight my eyes, or is it the other way around.  LOL

It always helps to know these things ahead of time - but if you don't check until you're ready to read and write - oh, well. At least you know why it's down.

Nice changes, I like the email option, can it possibly have an invite link to it?  If I send this as it is, they may join outside of my seperate invite and I loose the link to me as the inviter?

A bunch of new code went live with the database update that we didn't anticipate would be released until later this week.  The two major changes you'll find to AR are a envelope icon below blog posts allowing you to email the post to someone, and we've moved the blog stats to a seperate page to begin to clean up the UI.  If you go to your profile and look at the left hand side down near the bottom you'll see a link to "statistics"

This might not be the place to post this, but please bear with me.  I know I saw a place where you were soliciting advise on how the site could be tweaked to make it easier to use..

Although I have been a member since mid June, only since Christmas have I really embraced what you have going on here - my hats off to you.  Great job.

My thought is very minor...

When publishing a post and we select an option that requires a region, could we set a default - I can guarantee any region I write about will be my own - I don't need to see all 50 states, 52 counties and however many cities you have in my county.  Let me set it and forget it...please.

 Thanks again,

Have a Blessed Day,

Are these statistics new? Or am I just blind? These are awesome. I'll have to look at them some more to see what there is to see. More good improvements AR crew.
