Going green is a way of life that many people are trying to incorporate. Today, you can find some of the most unique homes; anything from a paper house to converted recycled grain bins to homes made from a muddy mixture.  It's recycled oddities like these that are now providing space for the future.

There is a wide variety of things that can be converted into a green home, even a steel shipping container.  You just need toi tack them to a foundation and they are ready for a second life.  This is a great opportunity to recycle things that would otherwise end up in a landfill or left unused.

More unique home styles include airplanes such as Boeing 727's and DC 8's. They don't always get put out for pasture and if it's not broken up for scrap, you can turn it into a home without the wings.  The fuesalage can be transformed easily enough.  Most corporate jets already have designer bedrooms, comfy leather sofas, media rooms, and bars.

Even dumpsters are being used for green homes.  A nice little home can be made from a garbage can.  With a little effort it can be made into a luxury home for urban living.  Stainless steel applinaces, hardwood floors, bathroom, storage and sleeping area make it a great place for compact living.

Grain bins and silo's are already structurally sound and make a perfect green home.  They already have a roof, round walls, and a concrete floor with lots of interior space,  Steel structures like silo's are easily converted into homes that are fire proof and termite resistant, weather proof and energy effecient.  They can be placed side by side or stacked for a larger home.
