A highly cherished person reminded me about respect recently talking about full attention when with someone and avoiding distractions like computers or answering the phone. It made me think of respect also of the core of another's personality as well, not trying to change someone into something they would cringe at being.

I grew up with much boyhood wonder, catching toads, jumping out of trees skinning up elbows and knees and yes flying kites. Give me a windy day, an Oregon beach and you will see me still as an ADULT flying kites or wanting to do so having fun with children doing it. It is who I am. I inherently THRIVE on fun. If someone got to know me and liked my professionalism in business or integrity in personal matters they may try to SQUASH this child part I brought along. For any of us, it is NOT their role to destroy our personality, but OUR personality (hopefully the healthy and good parts) complements theirs. Differences are good. Variety in life. Sure caution others about bad behavior like drugs or being vulgar, but
