A Tennessee Christmas...

By
Real Estate Agent with Leo Parker Real Estate & Auction

It is almost Christmas time again! Here in Tennessee, you never know what the temp will be from one week to the next. Last week we had some gorgeous days that felt like spring with 70 degree weather and sunshine. This morning I woke up to 30 degrees and snow flurries, I was hopeful. I secretly would like lots of snow and to see the ground covered in it while my family would rather it not. I guess it is the Michigan blood in me. The song "Tender Tennessee Christmas" covers it well. I have seen a few snowy Christmas's but not in several years. Maybe this year will be the year for snow on Christmas... it can be spring-like after that...

Oh how beautiful.  I'm with you my friend. I secretly wish for snow too, especially for Christmas.  Did you take this photo?  That is absolutely beautiful.  What a dreamy site that is.

I agree.  It is a beautiful scene.  I've always wanted a white Christmas, but here in Georgia it doesn't happen, and when it does it only lasts a day or so.  We had near 80 degree temperatures last week and a high of low 40's today.  Hope you get your wish for Christmas.

Nice picture! Here in Alabama the temperature was 36 today, and we had just some small snow flurries. It was like 69 degrees yesterday, and Brrrrrr this morning! I will be going to Pigeon Forge, TN in January. I love it there.

No Julie- I wish I could take credit for the picture, but it is from my clipart collection. I have seen snow like this but not in a long time!

Me too Vicky. Not sure if I am going to get it or not. My son likes snow days too!

That is the south for you, huh Dallas? I guess it does have it's perks too. Thanks for stopping by.

Linda- Woodbury is 20 minutes southeast of Murfreesboro or 50 miles southeast of Nashville. It is a small town of about 13,000 people.

Maybe if you are in Pigeon Forge in Jan, you will see some snow Kim. Sometimes it will snow up on the mountain even if no where else! Hope you have fun!

Melissa, that sure is a pretty part of the state. Of course, I think the whole state is pretty! I miss hills! It's pretty flat here in Fort Worth!

I've lived in the frozen north for too long I guess.  Christmas just doesn't seem the same without snow on the ground. We have that covered btw... it snowed 3" today. :)

Melissa, this is just absolutely gorgeous. It makes me want to pile on the clothes, boots, and coats and go out and play. Make snow angels and build an igloo. This lit a candle in my heart. Later in the rain, Deb
