The market is looking fantastic for the Greater Des Moines area. As reported by the Business Record home sales jumped 46 percent last month, with 713 homes sold compared with 490 in February, the Greater Des Moines Association of Realtors said. The median sale price in March was $140,000, up almost $20,000 from February. Last month, homes were on the market for an average of 123 days and there were 4,529 active listings.
How does that make the average consumer feel? Is the market rebounding? As discussed in my last blog, many consumers are feeling a sense of urgency to get their home on the market before conditions change. In just one month there was a 70% increase in buyer confidence. What are your thoughts??
