Sometimes My Customer Service Has Nothing To Do With Real Estate
The other day I was called by one of my sellers notifying me that the box with the home flyers was empty. So I told her that I would be over late afternoon to replenish and to stop to talk to her about the latest showings.
When it comes to my clients, especially senior citizens I spend time with them to talk about what is going on in their lives and how they are doing. She told me that she recently bought a new laptop because her ancient computer finally gave up. I asked her how is it working for her and she said, well it doesn't. She said that she can't see her email because the font is so small, she can't see videos, etc., etc., etc. I asked her if I can take a look and figure out what is wrong and she told me that when she bought it the gentleman had set it up for her but it was not working right and she is ready to be done with computers.I sat down and asked if I could see her email and lo and behold to see anything in her AOL account I needed a magnifying glass. I'm a Mac user and even though I had some difficulties, I wasn't just about to give up after I tried to change the settings and it didn't work. Needless to say I was able to have her use AOL mail, Firefox font and video. It turned out something very simple by installing flash for video and hit the "ctrl +" keys to increase the font.
To me serving clients is not always about real estate, I do things differently even if it means spending more time that may not be as productive for the most typical real estate agent - to me it is just my nature being a Lakeland FL real estate agent helping out.
