Hope Springs!

hope springs

Last summer brought this area a drought unequalled in recorded history.

Lakes all over dried up.  Even Lake Conroe , which was dug in the early 1970s , as a back up water reservoir for the huge Houston metropois, was down 13 feet.

Trees died in massive numbers, and wild fires broke out in many areas Statewide.

There was an air of tension and gloom pervading everything.

Everything except this one 41 acre tract in rural Cut and Shoot.

This tract has a lake that is about two acres, which was dug in the 1950s.  It got quite low but never went dry!  We have no idea how deep it was at the worst of the drought.  We do know that each time we went to check on the property, it did still have about an acre of water.

It is my guess that it had one deep point where all the fish had gone.  My theory is that there was a spring somewhere that prevented the total drying up we had observed so many other places.

We do not have first hand knowledge of any spring, and neither does the owner who grew up on the land.

Without actual proof of this suspected water source,  I am now marketing the property with the phrase:  Hope Spring.

We hope there is a spring and the lake did perform as if there had been a spring.

Who knows!  The buyers may actually chose to name the place "hope Spring."

Sort of has a nice ring to it, in addition to a great visual.  Beats many other names and places.  Tranquilly tank just does not do it justice.
