If you've been keeping up with the hummingbabies at my house in Chandler, AZ, you'll be happy to know the babies are doing great! Here are the photos I took today. I laid a 1.75" paper clip on the branch to give you an idea how small the nest and the babies are!
It's fun to see TweedleDee (hatched on the 28th) is starting to get feathers and is wiggling around a little more when mom leaves the nest. TweedleDum hatched yesterday and is still pretty naked not moving around much.
I love their bright yellow beaks and puffy little balloon heads!
Can you find the nest? It's right there in the middle of the photo.
Check back tomorrow for another update and more photos!
I've also included the previous posts which include all the photos in case you missed them.
In chronological order with the first one taken April 14, 2012 the day mom laid the second egg.
