Summer Fun on Memorial Day Weekend in Tennessee.

My husband Claude, my chocolate lab Zeke, and I take off for a long Memorial Day weekend to visit my brother Dan in Blountville, TN. Dan has a great home on Boone Lake. Ahhh.. it was great being on the water and soaking in some sun.
For a great relaxing time, this float was awesome...seats ten and the weight capacity I think was 1,000-1,300 pounds...
It was indeed a relaxing weekend, except for the accident we had with a black bear coming home Monday night. We were all okay, the bear was killed on impact, our airbags deployed, and the car was totaled...read the post about the accident.
You ask what did I do about my real estate business? Did I put it on hold. Well kind of...my clients knew I was going out of town for the holiday weekend. Everything was in place. I have one listing pending. The appraisal is done, home inspection, financing going well, and we are going down the home stretch. My other listings are land listings, so if anyone needed to show the properties, that would not be a problem. The B&B listing requires 24 hour notice...and if any problems should arise, my agent friend would step in and help. All documents are on the MLS, with the listing, plat, survey, disclosures, tax information and property information. If an offer comes in, agents know to call my cell, and I will have my iPad....can't leave home without them! Since Lewisburg is a small town, people here are not in a great hurry like some people are in the big cities.
We do have a vacation planned for this month … a trip to Charleston, SC to visit my husband’s sisters, stopping in Myrtle Beach to visit a friend and a short stop to visit two sisters in Charlotte NC. We have a packed week, but it will be fun seeing our sisters and my friend.
My brother will be dog sitting Zeke for us...so no worry about him. Zeke loves the water, and will play fetch all day in the water.
I will do an information package of my listings for my agent friend just in case someone wants to make an offer on one of my listings. Now that would be just fine with me!
I just hope we do not have any bear encounters on this trip...
