Father's Day Gift Ideas

Father's Day is just around the corner and if you are having a hard time trying to figure out what to get your very deserving father. I have done some searching on the internet and found these great Father’s Day gift ideas. Remember just like moms, dads enjoy the thought!

  • If your dad loves to BBQ he probably uses a worn out apron or doesn’t use on at all. What better way for the kids to say I love you than to decorate an apron just for dad! Buy an apron, some fabric paint and let the kids imaginations run wild. Dad will be surprised and he will always be reminded of your love when he is doing what he loves!

Here’s an inventive idea for dad. Create a Father’s Day Thrown for dad and treat him like a king! Transform a lawn chair into a throne that literally puts within his reach everything he needs to be king for a day.

  1. Use tape, clamps, or string to attach appropriate accessories, from a shade umbrella to a back scratcher to a cold drink holder.
  2. Fashion a halo made of wire to hold Dad's favorite hat or crown and attach it to the back of the chair.
  3. Include a bell for Dad to ring for service.

Start a new tradition with breakfast in bed. Most dads love to eat and what better way to show dad you care then to bring him breakfast in bed. This is a great idea for both the kids to do or for you to do just for that special dad in your life.

If you just want to give your dad something special straight from the heart have something engraved with words from you. There are many things to chose from for engraving. Just be sure to make each word come from the heart.

For the husband. Write your love story in a book! You may not be a writer but what better way to tell him you love him then with reliving your special love story. Make it crafty and fun. Remember it’s not the grammar and punctuation that matter it’s the words of love throughout.

For the new dad create a photo collage of he and the new baby and put handprints and footprints of the babies to go a long with it. Decorate it with special memories of babies birth. Maybe add keepsakes from the hospital. Put it all in a photo box so dad can put it wherever he would like.

Whether you are celebrating a new dad, your father, children’s fathers or just a special dad in your life make him feel special this Sunday. You don’t have to go out and buy an extravagant gift (even though some father’s may disagree J ). Create a day filled with love!

As always if you are interested in buying or selling a home, give me a call today. I’d love to help!

Marilyn, I like all these great ideas.  Dad's are very special and we sometime forget just how special until they are gone.
