Ella Bailey Park in Magnolia is actually one of Seattle's newest parks, although it seems like we have been enjoying it already for a long time! Ela Bailey was a school teacher and in the 1920's she gifted the land to the city to be used as a park. The land had previously been used as a playground area for the closed down Magnolia Elementary School (corner of Smith and 28th Ave W). This park has some of the best views of Seattle and the cruise ships (as seen from the photo I took today from our Father's Day outing there).
