Marketing is probably one of the most important aspects in the Real Estate Industry, but since the last time I looked it is also the most expensive expense that any Real Estate Executive will occur (next to gasoline $$$$$).  I have been trying to come up with ways that I can lower that expense but at the same time I don’t want to cut back on my marketing.  I have been asking around and have come up with some ideas; however I feel that it is nothing “new” and I would like my marketing campaign to be something unique that will catch someone’s eye.  Everyone sends out there little post cards saying how they are the “best agent” but come on now, that is not original.  Now, I know that just about everything has been tried and tested a number of times.  I would like to see, and discuss some new and exciting ways that everyone has been marketing themselves.  I believe that we can all make each other better all around agents if we can trade ideas about marketing and also tell some unique stories of your special marketing ideas.

Let’s see what we can come up with and thanks for you input!

The best way is for others to do your marketing for you.  Word of mouth is still the best way to advertise.  Try volunteering at a charity. You'll meet new people and it cost you nothing but a small amount of time.

Referrals are key, always ask Who do you know thinking of buying or selling a home.  Not Do you know anyone but Who do you know...makes them stop to actually think about the question.  Ask at the gas station, grocery store, deli, take outs everywhere. Give it a try and see how quickly you find someone getting ready to buy or sell.

referrals are great but sometimes it is hard to wait for those. The volunteer idea is supurb becuase you can incorporate "i volunteer" into all current marketing activities. Also talk to people about free co-advertising opps...most poeple are willing to share with you if you share with them and this take little time and each person gets double the exposure :)

Go Seahawks!! ;)
