Hi all you Active Rainers!

My name is Grant Roberts and I am proud to announce the launch of an exciting new product called Convert IT.

Over the past six months I have been seeing and hearing more and more about Active Rain. During this time, my team and I together with the guys from PropertyTube have been working around the clock, developing a mass video conversion system for the real estate industry.

Our Convert IT product launched recently, so no better time to start my Active Rain career. So here I am, and very excited to connect with everyone.

With video being a MUST HAVE in today’s online real estate market, our goal was to develop a hassle free and time saving fully automated product for Realtors and Real Estate companies. I've added some points below to give you a brief idea of how it works:

Convert IT automatically creates videos of all your listings from your exisitngs Photos on your website!
These videos include background music, and a unique panning technique to give the impression of movement throughout the video

Grant, The music is nice but I need to narrate the video. The price is high and very few Realtors have 20 new listing each month.

While I have done videos like the ones above (which are great, BTW), I have found "live action" to be much more effective. Does anyone else agree?

Wayne and John - Thank you for taking the time to check out our new product, I really appreciate it.

I should have been clearer in my blog post. Convert IT has been designed to cater more to Real Estate companies, offices and teams. We realize that most individual Realtors don't have this number of listings and therefore it's much easier to manage a video strategy and produce high quality videos with narration etc.

Convert IT helps companies that are interested in creating a video portfolio for their listings. Most of these companies have hundreds of listings, a website and photos to showcase them. At this point they have some tough decisions to make: How are we going to create our videos? Where are we going to distribute our videos? Who is going to upload the videos? How do we keep the videos up to date, with price changes, new photos etc.? How do we get the videos onto our website?

So with Convert IT taking care of ALL these issues automatically we believe that our packages are extremely reasonable. Also it's not 20 new listings it's 20 updates. So if you have 100 listings you are able to make a change on your website, for example if you change some photos on a listing or a price or description our system will pick that up and automatically create a new video and replace the old one. This function ensures that your videos are ALWAYS up to date and current. Imagine how difficult that would be to manage.

I apologize for being so vague in the blog and completely understand the individual Realtors need for high quality videos, but when you are trying to create hundreds of videos in a short period of time, inexpensively and hassle free .. Convert IT is the way to go.

Hi Grant, good that you took the time to explain the Convert IT product in more detail.

Bob. I agree with you completely - Live Action is without a doubt the best video alternative for any realtor. Being in the Video detailing all the great aspects about a listings allows the client to meet you the Realtor and may just give you the competitive edge. However this requires confidence, patience and time.

Convert IT is certainly beneficial for the Realtors needing mass photo to video conversion – it’s worth every penny especially due to the fact that your videos are automatically uploaded to major video portals for you. Every Realtor needs a video presence for each and every listing on their books.

Thinking about it you should look at a something for Realtors with fewer listings and make it more cost effective, as Wayne mentioned not many "if any" have 20 new listings per month.

hey Grant - it looks nice... but live action is where the game is at. The Ken Burns effect (just call a shoe a shoe) is not new, and frankly, by now the reason people quit watching. Just saying. if you have a dev team, there are video products you could put together with far more potential.

I couldn't agree more, for experienced video users Ken Burns effect is nothing new. But while the percentage of Realtors using video sits as low as 3% you have to ask, what's holding Realtors back from using video, the fastest growing medium on the Internet? The obvious answers is "time and money!" Some Realtors don't have the time to go out and shoot a video with their camera, and others don't have the confidence to use live human interaction in their videos. Many other Realtors don't know how to use all the many great video products out there. These Realtors are simply missing out - A potential buyer is more likely watch a video before they have to scroll through a picture library (even if it is a video made from photos). Thus, we are starting to see more and more Real Estate companies showcasing their photos in a video format.

Convert It allows Realtors to get on the Video map - 50 listings to 2000 can be converted to video in under 24hrs and they are updated daily! Realtors don't have to do a thing. And remember realtors can still use videographers to create videos for featured listings if they choose. This way a company has a fully sound video strategy and a current, updated video portfolio.

After the videos have been automatically tagged and uploaded to YouTube and PropertyTube (which saves hours and hours) the SEO benefits alone are worth the investment.
