California Landlord Tenant Dispute

California Landlord wants an additional one year lease, tenant does not. Lease is due to expire.

Both landlord and tenant get into a physical fight. Tenant ends up in hospital.

$6,000 in medical bills.

DA is investgating.

Jim, the only time I witnessed anything close to this was when I had a buyer who got nose to nose with a homebuildler he was buying the home from. Wise advise, just walk away.

It has got to be in writing anyway. I have tenants I have never seen so getting into a physical altercation is very hard!
