Active Rain Volume is the Key to Referrals

Over the last 2 weeks, I have received 7 calls from Active Rain for a mortgage. That includes purchases and refinances. I'm blown away and, quite frankly, it's quite amazing. In any event....I got to thinking that it really stuns me for one reason in particular.
I have been very inconsistent in my Active Rain posting....at best.
Most people know that an electrical storm totally fried my internet at home. It took 2 months for it to get
back up properly (without 5 minutes for a page to load). It takes 3 weeks to create a habit. Two months without home internet created a:
BAD HABIT
I have been back, but it's hard to get back to 5-7 posts per week with life being so incredibly busy. So what really amazed me was that I have received so many referrals over the past 2 weeks.
EVERY SINGLE APPLICATION AND CALL WAS FROM ACTIVE RAIN....
Soooooo....with my inconsistent, at best, blogging and posting as of recent, it makes me realize that it's because of the shear volume of posts that I have out there. I received calls from all over the United States that said "Larry, I was reading your blog, and....."
In any event....it's because of the shear volume of posts that I have out there. As of this post, I have 1,458 blog posts. When people say that they work the rain.....and they've only been in it for one, two or three months...I say....B.S. The point is that I"m all over the NET. Good, bad, informative...whatever. Active Rain takes me to every category that I post about. In any event....if you write it...it's there. The problem is that a million people write on the net...so you'd better get a lot of stuff out there. Because....at that point...it's a shear numbers game.
