The Colonial Professional Golf Tournament is formally known today as the Crowne Plaza Invitational. It is held at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth Texas. It is also a PGA Tour non-major event with the longest running history. History
In 1936 Marvin Leonard established the Colonial Country Club as a means of introducing bentgrassto his local hometown. It started out with 100 members. A few years later, the Colonial Country Club made local history by hosting the 1941 U.S. Open, in which Craig Wood was declared the champion.

John Bredemus designed the course, which was originally 7,035 yards long – an unprecedented length during its era. Today, the par-70 course had long been expanded to 7,204 yards. Aside from the Crowne Plaza Invitational, the golf course had also hosted other famous tournaments such as the 1991 U.S. Women’s Open and the Tournament Players Championship in 1975.
PGA Tickets

Daily and weekly passes are available at adult and youth rates. Special packages have also been prepared for those who want to enjoy extra perks during the weeklong celebration at the country club.
For $800 you can get a week’s access to the clubhouse, VIP parking, four tickets which you can use once a day or share with other companions, complimentary food and drinks, and access to Hogan’s Club No. 18 Skybox.
With the Champions Club Badge, which is at $225 per person, you get a week’s access to the grounds and entry to the Champions Club, an air-conditioned venue where you can observe all the action up close. You will also get admission to the Bank of Texas Fan Fest and Crowne Plaza Lounge.
