I just finished reading a book called 'The Art of Possibility' by Benjamin and Rosmund Zander. I was turned onto this book about five years ago, when I heard a recording of a radio interview with the two authors. They were delightful and fun to listen to, and I ordered the book a short time later. Then it sat on my shelf among many other books I intended to read, and I finally got to this recently.
This book is perhaps one of the most light and inspiring books I have read in a very long time. The authors viewpoint and out of the box thinking is imparted in a magical way through the pages, and you gain a new insight into ways to approach all aspects of life.
Benjamin Zander is a conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, and Rosamund Stone Zander is a professional counselor. Both offer inspirational lessons along with wonderful paradigms for personal and professional fulfillment thoughout the book.
When I first approached the book, I was apprehensive that this might be just another 'feel good' book. However, as I proceeded chapter by chapter, I discovered the interwoven harmony of all the stories and lessons amounted to a unique and fresh new viewpoint on life. Not all the lessons may appeal to everyone, but with the utmost certainty, I can say that there are moving lessons here that will shift your thinking and inspire you to make changes in your life.
The uplifting title alone "The Art of Possibility" is intriguing enough to prompt one to open the pages and explore. I found myself deeply satisfied at having read this book when I reached the final pages. If more people would read this, the improvement of relations between everyone in our culture would be raised up several notches.
I thought I would take a moment and share this with everyone on my blog, and invite you to take the journey through the pages of this wonderful and extraordinary book if you have not already done so. The inspiration will encourage you to rekindle, pursue and fulfill your dreams.
If you want to know more about the book, I have inserted a link on the above photo to Amazon. Happy reading!
