Kick Start August at Bryan Children's Museum

Bryan-College Station is full of so many wonderful things to do for single people, older couples and young families. If you have young children and need something fun to do, why not try to kick start August at the Bryan Children's Museum? Throughout the month of August, the Children's Museum is offering several different projects to educate and entertain kids while also holding the attention of parents. Some of the programs being held throughout the month of August at the Bryan Children's Museum include:

Chalk it Up to Summer - August 14, 23, & 27. Enhance the temporary art your children create on the sidewalk outside your Bryan-College Station home by letting them create their own chalk.

Silly Sunglasses - August 17, 25 & 29. Bring your old sunglasses in to the museum to transform them into new, fun styles.

Fly with the Fireflies - August 21 & 31. Kids will learn about these most interesting creatures of the bug family and then will create their very own arts and crafts versions of the insects from what they have just learned.

Balloon Volleyball - August 16, 20 & 30. Replace that old, hard volleyball with a balloon and spike away inside the museum. This is such a fun way to beat the heat and keep active at the same time.

S'mores Some Fun - August 18, 22 & 28. You don't have to go camping in the woods to enjoy this sweet treat.

Winder-ful Pinwheels - August 15 & 24. Kids can create their very own pinwheels to set up in the yards of their Bryan-College Station homes.

We may be in the middle of the month, but you can still kick start August at the Bryan Children's Museum. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Admission is just $5 per person, $4 for seniors and free to kids under 1. With all these different activities scheduled throughout the rest of the month, both you and your kids can have lots of fun learning something new before school gets back in session.
