Congratulations to the administration of Rahway public schools! In New Jersey Monthly's Top High Schools In New Jersey, published this week, Rahway jumps from #261 in 2011 to #191 in 2012 - representing a 70 point improvement and earning it a place in the Most Improved Schools list!
According to New Jersey Monthly, some of the biggest moves are due to New Jersey’s new graduation-rate calculation - Instead of using the number of students moving on to postsecondary schools, this year's data uses the number of students actually graduating from a four year postsecondary school.
Another data compilation change that may have resulted in a move is that New Jersey Montly no longer uses student/computer ratio as a ranking factor. They have also increased the weighting of test results.
Rahway's public schools open on Wednesday, September 5th.
