Stamford, Connecticut has two GREAT events this week and one is state-wide. First, it is TAX FREE week. What does this mean? Tax free week applies to clothing and shoe purchases under $300 per item. This is great, especially considering kids are heading back to school. If you haven’t done back to school shopping yet, this week is a great time. Tax free week goes through this Saturday, August 25.
The other event is Stamford’s 2012 Summer Restaurant Weeks. This year, the summer restaurant week is two weeks and goes through September 3rd. There are 30 restaurants participating this time. Each restaurant offers a lunch and dinner prix-fixe menu.
