Great News in Beaumont, California!!! -or- Oak Valley Parkway is Now Open!!!
The wait is finally over! Its been a year, almost to the day... The Oak Valley Parkway bridge that connects traffic from the freeway and Oak View Drive to Beaumont Ave, Stater Bros and the rest of Beaumont is NOW OPEN!
We live up Oak View Drive, and anytime we went to the supermarket, post office or anything else in Beaumont, CA, we had to take the detour from Oak View Drive to Brookside, and then up to Beaumont Ave..
It doesn't seem like a long detour at first, but then try to run your errands right when school is being let out at either the Beaumont High School or Brookside Elementary! Understandably everyone drives much slower, kids, parents, school employees and other pedestrians are crossing the roads and parents are parked on much of Oak View Drive and Brookside waiting to pick their children up.
And I'm sure residents above Beaumont Ave in the Cougar Ranch and Sundance communities, and the older parts of Beaumont are just as happy as I am!!
Hallelujah for construction sticking to their time-line!!! Somewhat...
