Would like to receive less advertising mail at home? The Mail Preference Service (MPS) is designed to help consumers reduce the amount of unsolicited or "junk" mail they receive.
When you register with MPS, your name and address are placed on a "do not mail" list. The list is updated monthly and distributed four times a year -- January, April, July, and October. Your name remains on file for five years, after which time you may register again. You will begin to see a decrease in junk mail within three months of registering. Also, if you move, you must register your new address. Registration will reduce the amount of unsolicited mail you receive but will not eliminate it..
