AK-Chin Family Entertainment Complex is the largest entertainment center in Arizona that will be opening next month, November 2012. This complex which is adjacent to the Harrah’s AK-Chin Casino Resort on AK-Chin Indian Community land had its groundbreaking ceremony last year in November 2011 and was announced and expected completion in a year.
This 162,000 Sqft family entertainment complex will feature a 12-screen movie theater, 24-lane bowling alley, arcade, laser tag, restaurants and an outdoor amphitheater.
The complex will be owned by the AK-Chin Indian Community that also owns the AK-Chin Casino Resort, Santa Cruz Commerce Center, AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club, AK-Chin Farms and operates the AK-Chin Him Dak Eco-Museum which is the first of its kind in America.
The UltraStar Cinema president, Alan Grossberg will manage the AK-Chin Family Entertainment Complex. Designed by Nelsen Partners and built by A.R. Mays Constructiion.
The AK-Chin Tribal Chairman Louis J. Manuel Jr., who led the groundbreaking ceremony last year, stated that the AK-Chin Family Entertainment Complex is going to be a worthwhile project and a great venture for the Arizona area.
Objectives of the project are to entertain, educate and employ. There will be 200 new jobs for the community. It will also be a great improvement to Maricopa’s night life which is right now is ‘none’.
