In the Lethbridge Market, Luxury homes can be classified as homes that are more than $500,000. In 2011, on the MLS system there were 27 homes sold for over $500,000, and only one at over 1,000,000, (of course, there are some custom builds or some sold directy from the builder that do not show up). There are also over 127 listings of homes over $500,000 that either expired or were cancelled, (some homes are counted more than once here so you have to be careful with the statistic). But it does mean that luxury homes require more to find the right buyer. If you are selling, you need a realtor that is going to give you a lot if Internet Exposure.
If you are looking for a neighborhood for your Lethbridge Luxury Home, you have several choices. The choice of neighborhood is an increasingly important factor in the home buying process.
SOUTH LETHBRIDGE: Southridge is an area in South Lethbridge, with most properties on lots of one acrea or more. Prices here range from $600,000 to well over 1million. Homes here are 10 years old and less.
If you prefer living in an established area of the South you may wish to consider Tudor estates, Scenic Heights, as well as Park Royale. There are beautiful homes here, some with wonderful coulee views.
Fairmont has some luxury homes availalbe as well. Fairmont homes are up to about 15years old.
There are several brand new luxury homes being built in the coulee creek area (sixmile Coulee as well).
NORTH LETHBRIDGE: On the North Side, there are some luxury homes in the Uplands area, with some beautiful homes that back onto Chinook lake. Uplands is a mixture of high end and multi-family housing.
WEST LETHBRIDGE: There are new homes being built in Riverstone and Canyon Crest. There are a few luxury homes available in Copperwood and Sundance as well, and these neighborhoods are mixed with a variety of other housing types. There are some acreages available not far from the West side as well.

More established neighborhoods in West Lethbridge include Edgewood, Ridgewood, and Heritage. You can find some homes with amazing coulee views here, but they may or may not have the upgrades that you want. If you are willing to put the time and money into the upgrades, then you can get yourself a fantastic home.
