e many people have to the arts. It would be worse than a shame if either entity ever lost even the minimal funding they get through the government. In my opinion, early exposure and appreciation of music, art and literature are essential contributors to a civilized society and may be a strong incentive for some people to find their paths to a better life. It will be a sad day if our government (the people) do not help provided equal and easy access to each other a chance to share in these treasures.

I for one rejoice in a portion of my taxes being used for PUBLIC radio and PUBLIC television, it is an investment for our citizens that makes sense.
Years ago, I heard a selection by the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet on Public Radio in Tampa, Florida and it was as if a window was thrown wide open into the world of guitar music for me. I'll probably never play (although I own a guitar) but this type of music is one of my great loves. I'm hoping you'll give yourselves 5 minutes today to take a listen and then seek out some of their other work too.
