Mona - I too hope that the arts survive the coming budget crunches. I own three guitars, took over a year of lessons, and can proudly say that these guitars do the best job of collecting dust in the house. I wish someone had told me that you need to practice to be able to play! Oh well. I still pick them up occassionally, lovingly dust them off, tune them up, and put them back down.
Peter, thank you for your comment. The arts are disappearing from regular school curriculum and that is disastrous enough but if children can't be exposed to them in school they need another avenue. The arts help us dream and dreaming helps us succeed.
Good morning Mona,
I have friend from South Africa who has turned me on to a similar style from there.
Make yourself a great day.
Raymond, we have to rely on Public forums and personal friends sometimes for exposure to the world's greatest treasures. Thanks.
Good morning Mona. I know the group and the piece, but I can't hear it. My speakers are on. Meanwhile I take your point and agree.
Sheila, I'll check the video and if it isn't performing right, I'll fix it. Thanks and stay safe today.
Lovely! Have always had an appreciation for the arts. You think that's why I turned out funny? I agree with your comment the arts make us dream and dreaming makes us succeed................well said, I'm impressed.
Hi Mona- so tranquil - who would think from guitars. It sounds heavenly and a nice way to start this blustery hurricane day..
Roger, methinks you did an edit and I'm glad of it. I think you are more than funny...people can't be funny without being intelligent first! I'm glad you liked today's selection...I liked that they called it Loose Canon, lol.
Gay, we've been listening to live streaming reports on the hurricane...I hope everyone and their pets fare well during this storm. I'm happy that you enjoyed the music.
Good Morning Valerie,
I need to know Jesse Cook's guitar work and you are just the person to introduce me and the rest of the music lovers in AR to music that you love.
I sent you an invitation to join Monday Melodies but please don't wait until next Monday to share a YouTube video with us!
Valerie, thanks for accepting. I'll anxiously await the video of Jesse Cook. welcome.
Yes, the "BIG" idea of doing away with funding for Public Radio would cause the Dept of Defense approx. six whole hours of spending. OMG! How would they make due. Maybe they could sell a few of there $30,000 dollar toilets. Give me a civilized society any day.
