Have you seen your credit report lately?

AnnualCreditReport.com is a centralized service for consumers to request free annual credit reports.

As part of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act), the Federal legislation signed into law the availibity to a consumer's credit report once every 12 months, by each of the 3 major credit bureaus.

You can view and print your credit report from this secure website.

Please note that, as a security precaution, Consumers should never provide their personal information to any other company or person for requesting free annual credit reports under the FACT Act.  This is the only secure site that offers this program.  Steer clear of other similar sites that offer a free credit report.  There could be strings attached, they may sell your information, or it could ultimatley be a scam for future identity theft.

AnnualCreditReport.com will not approach consumers via email, telemarketing or direct mail solicitations, after retrieving a credit report.

It is important for many reasons to view your credit report every 12 months.

  • You may find descrepencies, for example, open accounts that are not yours, missreporting of late payments or other derogatory information, an incorrect date of birth or Social Security number on file, an incorrect name, or you may find other problems that can be corrected. The system allows you to dispute items on your report that are incorrect
  • Pulling your own credit report does not impact your scores. In other words, your scores will not decrease from viewing your own report.

Check out this site and pull your credit report, if you have not already done so.
