Outdoor Ice Skating in Houston Texas - Say What!
No I have not been drinking so much that I am just imagining that this fun activity exists in Houston Texas. Discovery Green in Downtown Houston is hosting outdoor ice skating. During the last three years over 350,000 people have enjoyed the outdoor ice skating experience at Discovery green. .
Katy Texas offers homeowner numerous advantages to families when picking an area to live in and being close to Houston is just one of those numerous advantages. Depending on where one lives in Katy you are no more than 22-30 miles away from downtown Houston. I try to concentrate on local Katy activities but every once in awhile I will throw in a Houston opportunity.
The ice became available on November 17 and will last all the way until January 27, 2012. Admission to the ice skating is $12 and includes skate rental, tax and 1.5 hours of actual skating.
A portion of all ticket proceeds goes toward free Discovery Green activities which occur all through the year.
I grew up in a major city in the midwest and we ice skated outdoors when I was a child for many months every year and we even played ice hockey without proper equipment as we were all fairly poor and could not afford to buy protective pads and etc. If you have not gone outdoor ice skating you need to try it as it is a total blast and if you have you already know how much fun it is. Roller Skating is similar but also very different.
