Getting your septic system pumped?

When getting your septic system pumped you want to make sure someone is always home.  The reason for this is you want to make sure that after it is pumped out with the hose that they scrape the bottom of the tank so all of the sludge is removed.  It is gross but you want to make sure your system is cleaned the correct way.

Colleen  Almost every buyer in this neck of the woods wants a clean septic when they purchase a home.  I always refer them to the county planning and zoning office for their opinion.  Generally, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!  Yes, there are times it needs to be pumped but as a rule: leave it alone.  I say that with the understanding we have leachfields in this area.  Thanks for sharing!
