Delaware Valley: Free WiFi Access In Metro Philadelphia

When I first obtained a wireless device that had WiFi capabilities, I thought that I would have free reign of WiFi access in public areas, expecially at such places as restaurants, coffee shops and airports.  However, I soon found out that while the WiFi access was provided, the use of that WiFi was not usually free, such as at Starbucks and the airports.  If access was indeed free, there were limits in quality of signal, restrictions on bandwidth and types of access, as well as not always providing convenient locations.

Philadelphia has been talking about having citywide WiFi capability, but nothing concrete has developed and it's future is in question.

There are however, individual bright spots throughout the region that are providing free access if you can find them.  Here are some links to help you become aware of WiFi resources in the Metropolitan Philadelphia / Delaware Valley Region:
