Increase in Asking Prices Exceeds Rent in Certain Markets

Trulia reports that nationally, rental home gains grew faster than asking prices overall.  The Trulia report states that rent prices in November increased 5.6% year-over-year, and home asking prices rose 3.8%. The report went on to state that while these numbers hold true overall, not all markets are experiencing rental gains over asking prices.
