So last week we were we were joined by Dana Santangelo from Germantown Title.  This week had some interesting current events. The Federal Reserve announced that they will continue to “stimulate” the economy until the unemployment rate reaches 6.5%. You read that correctly. They will purchase treasuries as well as mortgage backed securities until the targeted 6.5% unemployment rate is met. The added caveat is an added ingredient of inflation of 2.5%. The Fed did warn that while the unemployment rate has continued to fall since the summer it may go the other way if we are pushed off the cliff by congress and their inability to act. The Federal Reserve lowers growth forecast. The announcement after the Federal Reserve met disclosed that the economy will grow at a slower pace than they thought after the last meeting. They also feel that the unemployment rate should fall to between 7.4 and 7.7% next year.

Today Vince and I are fortunate enough to be joined by Chris Nisbet of J. Carroll Malloy Realtor. J. Carroll Malloy is the oldest independently owned real estate firm in Bucks County. It is currently owned and operated by Nickolas Malloy who is the third generation broker owner. As you know by now my having grown up in the real estate business gives me a tremendous affinity toward the smaller mom and pop realtor than the “big box” agencies. So Why Chris Nisbet? Her education and her years of service put her a step ahead of most. Chris has some thoughts on how to pick a realtor and the critical steps necessary for buyers and sellers before they start the process.

Please join us live at www.wbcb1490.com for the open discussion about small independent knowledgeable realtors.

In combination with  CBS and WPHT 1210 am we have also been fortunate enough to have been asked to write some articles in “Local Living Magazine” to explore some of the questions you all ask us and the answers we provide. Look for your latest issue this month.

Each week we discuss the myths of the mortgage market. It is not about rate. A higher rate with no mortgage insurance may provide a lower payment.
