We make every effort to visit each of our home buyer clients at their new property in person after the sale.
Usually, we give them a few weeks to get settled in after their move and call them to make an appointment to stop by and see how things are going, bring them a housewarming gift, answer any questions that they may have now that the real estate transaction is complete.
This is a fun time for us to spend time with them in their home and not talk about real estate lol...however, most times our previous clients are the best sources of new business leads for us.
Recently, we visited a past client who was both a home seller using our services and then a home buyer to purchase another property.
They informed us that a neighbor in the subdivision just put up a small for sale sign trying to sell their property FSBO (For Sale By Owner) and gave us their phone number!
Long Story Short-> we called and met with the seller, listed the property the same day we met, had lots of showings in the first several weeks which led to 2 offers (one of which was accepted on day 29) and closed escrow (65 days total from for sale sign up to signing documents at closing today).
An after the sale visit led to another NW Indiana real estate sale!
