Coffee with a Cop in Gaithersburg

The Gaithersburg Police Department will be hosting “Coffee with a Cop” at the Subway Restaurant located at 876 Muddy Branch Road on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

This is an opportunity for residents to speak with officers in a casual atmosphere with no formal agenda.  Officers will be on hand to answer questions about crime and quality-of-life issues in neighborhoods and on roadways.

For more information about the Gaithersburg Police Department please visit www.gaithersburgmd.gov/police, or call 301-258-6400.

This kind of Police relations event could easily be sponsored by a real estate office.  Hopefully, other communities will also be offering Coffee with a Cop opportunities for local residents.

What a great idea. Talking to cops can be so intimidating and this casual atmosphere should eliminate that feeling. Good idea to have a real estate office host this.

Roy,

This is a great idea to develop more community ties.  Cops are often maligned thankss to our media, and many of them do an outstanding job for the community.  A

This is a very interesting idea, Roy. I'll share it with our Sheriff. Let's see: how about Soup with a Sheriff.

This is a great idea, Roy. I'm glad Subway is welcoming the police in Gaithersburg to come in and visit with community members. I hope they have a great turnout!

I like it, think this type of event would work most anywhere. Maybe we'll do coffee with an agent also.

What a wonderful idea Roy and you're so right. This sort of simple event can be sponsored by just about any professional...even say a home inspector.

It is sometimes a good practice to revisit old blogs and reblogs. We might even find some good ideas for current posts.
