Is now a good time?
It feels safe up there... but...
"get off the fence"
If there has ever been a truly good time to sell in Chittenden County, VT it is now.
"Why list now?"you ask. Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist for NAR explains 2012 market gains <video 5 minutes>
Let me explain:
1.) There are more buyers than houses available for them in Chittenden County Vermont.
(low inventory in price ranges from 0 to the mid fives)
2.) Buyers are very motivated as the VT interest rates are still 3.37% for a 30 year loan.
(only projected through 2014 but rates could go up sooner if the Fed sees recovery)
3.) If you have a house that is priced appropriately for today's market, is in good repair
and marketed well it will get showings.
While the Chittenden County VT (Burlington, VT) market is the most vital there are surrounding counties that would also benefit from more quality listings, for example Franklin County, Addison County and Grand Isle County.
