I love all genre's of music, but have a heart for Hip Hop. I grew up in 1980's, the era of KDAY radio station was the only station that would play wrap music. I would take the Memorex neon clear cassettes tapes and record the rap music privately in my bedroom because my mother didn't like for my sister and I to listen to rap music. My mother would say that our generation is lost and that "they don't make music the way they did in the Motown generation". I think I have turned into my mother. I do not understand what most of the "new" music is about or saying. But, I know that it's inappropriate and I don't want my son exposed to it at an early age. Today's rap music is particularly disappointing to me, most of the lyrics (that I can understand) are about sex, drugs, money, and material items. I mourn the hip hop of 'ole; and the conscious music about social responsibility and community awareness (sigh). Anyhoo....
I saw this video today and laughed out loud! Matt Pittman, a Real Estate Agent is one of the most talented rappers I've heard in a long time! It appears that he is based in Northern Illinois (go figure). Check out the Official Real Estate Rap! Tell me what you think! You can buy the song on iTunes....now that is what I call creating another stream of revenue! Enjoy
