Ahhh my first blog in at least a month or two...

I am a big advocate in maintaining presence and continuing the work in something you start so why did I go from 40-50 blogs /mo as well as constantly building relationships in the rain to 0-1 blog/mo?

I ran out of time.

Between 12hr + days everyday and working weekends (yes lenders do work weekends too (the successful ones anyway)) I find my down time to be almost non existent lately.

Managing a constantly growing pipeline as well as growing the business has been a lot and whenever I have had any free time I have found it hasn't been spent in the rain.

SO I log in today see familiar faces and feel like I HAVE to get active again.

Being in AR is something I enjoy but being inActive Rain is something I have to keep to a minimum.

Be productive, share learn and grow and stay Active all you rainers and don't lose hope in us "once" active AR members we are all nto gone for good just trying to maintain balance and a life during these extremely busy times.

Peace and prosperous 2013 to all...

David:  You do what you can do.  Active Rain is much more fun/pleasing/useful if we are "using" it because we want to rather than perhaps feeling like we are a slave to it.

Feeling that we MUST get in 40-50 blog POSTS a month can be a lot of pressure.  I remember earlier on I did that, but only for a few months.  After a while I began to resent it... so I stopped.  Good thing I did, cuz stopping is probably one of the reasons that I am still here.

Hi David,

If AR is working, we have less time for AR.  However, because AR works, we need to make time for AR.  I took a longer hiatus than a month, but I'm enjoying being active again.

Hey Dude! Nice to see your face pop up - we've been missing you here, but you do have an acceptable excuse - there are only so many hours. I hope you can find a way to spend more time here - I'm much less informed about what's going on with interest rates.

Hi Sham Man!  Great to see you again!  Nothing better than being super busy, that means you get to eat again and I'm sure that is a priority.  Speaking of priorities we all have them and I would bet they are all as different as we are individual.  You do what you have to, want to and need to do in life and not necessary in that order.  Come as often as you feel it's justified!

David,

Somebody has to take one for the team, and take care of our Buyers financing.  Good to see you back in action.

Best,

Brotha Man -- I can relate to having time to find to play in the Rain.  I took a few days off myself last week.  Busy is a great thing and we are blessed.  Stay cool dude.

et al: Wow I was not expecting this quickie/trying nudge to get me active again, post would warrant these responses! Thank You for these comments and all the support old and new alike.

I really agree with karens comment that I did feel I had to MAXIMIZE my activity in the rain when I first launched. I wrote my 10-12 posts/week commented at least 10 times every day logged in 7 days a week and it was good. The problem was I still needed a life and needed to run a business outside of AR.

The candle on both ends finally burnt through and I burned out! Now a little more rested, a little more seasoned maybe a little more balanced will help me get back to active in active rain again!

Peace and blessings to all...

Hey Dave,

It's good to see you in the Rain again.  Hope you enjoyed the 'time off' but having LOTS of business is wonderful.  Peace and blessings to you too!
