Local Real Estate Expert & Marketing

In politics there is a saying, "all politics is local". That means that at the end of the day what counts is do the people on the street no who you are and how to reach you. The same is true in regards to real estate. Yes you have national websites that might dominate the search engines and are a hub for buyers to search for real estate. But when it's all said and done, if people know you and how you can help them buy or sell real estate then you will be much more successful.

Back to Basics

With so many ways to stay connected, it is easy to get lost online and watch the day pass by without much productivity. If we spent less time on facebook and more time face to face with real people, we might make more and deeper connections that could eventually lead to increased listings and buyers who need our services.

I specialize in Bronx Real Estate, and my goal is to be known by all as the local real estate expert. I have spent a tremendous amount of time developing my online presense to compliment my rea life networking. It's this balance that needs to be constantly weighed to ensure that I don't lean heavily on one side and tip the scale.

The one area that I believe needs to be developed is Direct Mail Marketing. You can only have but so many friends on social media, your email list might not be that large, you might not be able to network with everyone in your community. That is where post cards coe in. I must admit I haven't ventured into Direct mail much, mostly out of concern over the large investment that is required. But it has worked for some in the past, it might just work now.

Being the local real estate expert means that people recognize you when they see you in the supermarket, gym or restaurant. So it is a marathon. There are no short cuts to becoming an recognized. So the strategy is this, Online Marketing, Networking and Direct Mail.

Direct Mail Campaign

Putting together an effective postcard campaign means having a solid up to date mailing list, a 4 by 6 postcard professionally designed that benefits from reduced postage rates and long term goals since it normally takes 7 points of contact for person to become familiar with you.

What tips would you give on the effectiveness of postcard & direct mail marketing for real estate? What services do you use to get the lists, what vendor do you advise and how often should you be mailing?

As always, thank you for reading.
